I’m honoured to be included in AD Middle East’s selection of leading female Arabic calligraphy artists. The feature highlights my public commissions, my work for the stage with the Royal Opera House, and The Shining Letters chandelier.
Narjes Noureddine was honored as Guest of Honor at the 9th Cairo International Biennial of the Arabic Calligraphy Art, held from 24 October to 2 November 2024 under the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and the Cultural Development Fund.
Representing the United Arab Emirates, Noureddine was recognized for her contribution to the art of Arabic calligraphy, a practice she has devoted herself to for more than twenty years. The biennial is one of the region’s most respected gatherings dedicated to the art of calligraphy, and the recognition was marked with a commemorative plaque presented in Cairo.
