The Shining Letters, a chandelier by Narjes Noureddine, decorated the Sharjah Museum of Fine Arts as part of the Sharjah Calligraphy Art Biennial 2016.
The letters، written in Jali Diwani script، were laser-cut from clear acrylic sheets. They hang on fine lines beneath a mirrored stainless steel faceted canopy set with points of light. As the light passes through the transparent forms it is reflected and scattered, and the letters take on new forms: they shine and fill the space with reflections of light.
