Commercial Bank International (CBI) Headquarters, Dubai

Client: Commercial Bank International (CBI)
Year: 2022
Location: Dubai
Scope: Concept, detailed design and implementation of 3 mural and sculptural stainless steel artworks

For the Headquarters of Commercial Bank International in Dubai, Narjes designed and executed three large wall-mounted artworks in stainless steel, combining mural and sculptural form. Each work recites verses from the poetry of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, and HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed AlMaktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and written in the Jali Diwani script.

The artworks hang in the CEO’s office, the boardroom and a hall, and each carries a verse suited to the space. The verses speak of glory as something won through effort, of work and energy as the means of changing what we wish to change, and of word, deed and achievement joined together in success.
